Reunion dinner with Michiyo, my ex-colleague at WKT , at wonderful Italian restaurant Icaro in Nakameguro. My current teammate Shuhei, who was also at WKT, joins. Michiyo is now in charge of running Kagayaki-tei , a community restaurant for senior citizens in Nishiogikubo. WKT での元同僚ミチヨと、中目黒の美味いイタリアンレストラン、イカロでディナー。一緒に参加したのは、WKT時代も現在もチームメイトであるシュウヘイ。ミチヨは今、西荻窪にある高齢者のためのコミュニティレストラン 「かがやき亭」 の運営に参加している。

Ishinomaki Stand Up Week 2013 starts today with a wide range of programs such as music, movie, design, IT, community building symposium, secondhand books market, a futsal match, and even a matchmaking party. And this is a event poster. Like last year , I contributed an event headline and my friend Barton in LA wrote an English line for it. 音楽、映画、デザイン、IT、街作りシンポジウム、古本市、フットサルゲーム、そして街コンまで。ありとあらゆるプログラムをそろえて、 石巻Stand Up Week 2013 が今日開幕した。そして、これがポスター。 昨年同様 、僕がヘッドラインを書かせてもらい、LAにいる友人の バートン がその英語版を作ってくれた。

Summer is here. And Stand Up Week is coming back again in Ishinomaki. This is the 3rd summer after the 311 tsunami and the 3rd Stand Up Week which is the summer event organized by Ishinomaki 2.0 . This year, its slogan is "Let's create the most interesting town on earth." The event starts from July 27th in central Ishinomaki. Witness the most innovative and creative way of community building. 夏がやってきた。そして石巻にまた Stand Up Week が帰ってくる。311の津波のあと、3度目の夏。そして、 石巻2.0 が主催するStand Up Weekも3回目。今年のイベントスローガンは「世界で一番面白い街を作ろう」。7月27日から石巻の中央で開催されるこの夏のイベントは、最もイノベーティブで最もクリエイティブなコミュニティ作りを目撃するチャンス。

Fuji of Washington State, Mt. Rainier. ワシントン州の富士山、マウントレーニア。

My first flight on Delta's HND-SEA route which was inaugurated in early June. This flight departs Haneda past midnight and arrives at Sea-Tac in the early evening of previous day. That means, if you get on a plane after work on Friday, you can still have a full weekend in Seattle. This flight is like a time machine. 6月上旬に就航したデルタの羽田−シアトル線に初搭乗。この便は羽田を真夜中過ぎに発ち、前日の夕刻にシータックに到着する。つまり金曜の退社後にこのフライトで飛べば、シアトルに着いてからもまだ週末が完全に残っている。まるでタイムマシン。 And of course this time machine comes with Westin's Heavenly bedding like all other Delta's international flights . He is Matsumura-san of Ishinomaki 2.0 who just arrived directly from the airport after his presentation tour in 3 Middle Eastern countries. 銀座店の 開幕 を飾ったマスター、 石巻2.0 の 松村さん が最終日も担当。中東3か国のプレゼンテーションツアーを終え、空港から直接駆けつけたばかり。 In Ginza, this kind of overflowing crowd on the street can be seen only at the Apple Store on product launch day.  銀座で人がここまで道にあふれているのを見ることができるのは、製品ローンチ日のApple Storeくらいか。 Ishinomaki 2.0 boys. New summer collection of my aviation museum, ANA kids toys. Squeeze planes, a manually-operated fan, and a wooden helicopter. You might find this wooden chopper is particularly charming, if you know ANA's origin was a small helicopter operator and that's why their IATA code is NH, which means Nippon Helicopter. これが僕の航空ミュージアムの新しいサマーコレクション。握って遊ぶスクイーズプレーン、手動扇風機、そして木製のヘリコプター、といったANAの玩具たち。ANAの原点は小さなヘリコプター輸送会社で、そこからNH（日本ヘリコプター）というIATAコードがついたことを考えると、この木製ヘリはなかなか趣深い。

This evening Fukko Bar in Ginza turns into one-day-only "on-the-go" version of Hiyori Kitchen. Hiyori Kitchen is a new restaurant in central Ishinomaki opened by an architect, a chef, a designer, and other professionals based in Tokyo where you can enjoy menus inspired by Ishinomaki's traditional home cooking and menus using local venison meat. This restaurant in a renovated hundred-year-old house is one of the innovative ideas that symbolizes a rebirth of Ishinomaki. As a new landmark of the town, it is already becoming a popular joint. 今夜の 復興バー銀座店 は、一日限りの「出張・日和キッチン」。 日和キッチン は、東京をベースに活動する建築家、シェフ、デザイナーなど様々なプロフェッショナルたちが石巻の真ん中にオープンさせた新しいレストランで、石巻の伝統的な家庭料理や地元の鹿肉を使った料理が楽しめる。築100年の古民家を改装したこの店は、生まれ変わる石巻を象徴するイノベーティブなアイデアの一つ。街の新しいランドマークとして、すでに多くの人たちに愛されている。 A taste of Ishinomaki is now in Ginza. This is Hiyori Set with venison sausage, venison rillettes, and Ishinomaki bagel. 石巻の味を、今日は銀座で。鹿肉ソーセージ、鹿肉のリエット、石巻ベーグルが入った「日和セット」。

The check-in feature on Facebook is wonderful because sometimes you can find someone you've never seen in a while is at a location near you. Therefore, I could have a coffee with Yamaji-kun a.k.a. Chin, my friend from college days, at Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. Facebookのチェックイン機能はなかなか素晴らしい。しばらく会っていなかった人が近くにいることもわかるのだから。おかげで大学時代の友人、山地君a.k.a.チンと六本木ヒルズ森タワーでコーヒーを飲むことができた。

Dinner with friends who are now and who used to be at Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo at one of Tokyo's best Italian restaurant, Trattoria Siciliana Don Ciccio. We had a blast until after midnight. Dinner at Sen, my favorite Japanese restaurant in Kagurazaka. On one of the fiercest battlefield of restaurants in Tokyo, this place keeps offering consistent quality and coziness. 神楽坂にあるお気に入りの和食の店、「千」でディナー。東京で最も飲食店の競争が激しいエリアの一つにありながら、いつも変わらない上質さと居心地の良さを楽しめる。

One of production team members for Thai Airways International ad campaign I was working for during my Dentsu days gave this. If you take a closer look at numbers at the bottom right, you can find this "FlightCard" was printed in 1989, however I have no idea how United used it. Maybe this was for requesting missing mileage credit. It's interesting to see 5 of listed partner airlines are not members of Star Alliance, which was established 8 years later. And Swissair! Those were the days. これは、僕が電通時代に携わっていたタイ国際航空の広告キャンペーンの制作チームにいた方がプレゼントしてくれた。右下の数字をよく見ると1989年に印刷されたものと推測できるが、UAがこの「フライトカード」を実際にどのように使っていたのかはちょっとわからない。きっとマイレージの事後加算用だったのだろう。スターアライアンスの誕生はまだ8年も先の話で、ここに載っているパートナーエアラインのうち、5社がスターアライアンスエアラインではないのが面白い。そして、スイス航空！いい時代だった。
