HOW CREATIVITY CAN CHANGE THE CITY
I was invited to join the course entitled "Portland: Creativity and urbanology" of Freedom University held at Ikejiri Institute of Design in Setagaya as a speaker. We introduced the similarity between Portland, the hometown of Wieden+Kennedy, and Ishinomaki, the city we have been supporting since the 311 tsunami. In both cities, creativity, DIY spirit, and personal commitment have become key drivers of positive changes in community and what's happening in cities like Portland can bring some inspiration to Ishinomaki. We could have a really wonderful time thanks to an enthusiastic audience and the hospitable organizer. Photo: Yoshihiro Nakajima セッションにはハーマンミラージャパン社長の 松崎さん (左)と、 ワイデン+ケネディ東
