A RAILROAD DAY IN KOREA PART1

My innner-train-geekiness brought me to Korail's Railroad Museum in Uiwang City.

The Class 1000 EMU train. This original model was built in Japan and it has a design similar to the one for JNR's commuter EMUs in the 1960s-70s.

The Class 9900 EMU once used for Mugunghwa trains. They say its design was inspired by JNR's 485 Series limited express train.

The Paci-5 steam locomotive built by Kawasaki in 1942 when Korea was under Japanese rule.

The Hyeogi (Narrow-gauge) Model 11 steam locomotive built in 1937. It seems like it was also manufactured by a Japanese company.
