CRUISING AROUND AD

Even though it's quite easy to drive around thanks to wide streets and highways, downtown Abu Dhabi is not a place that makes your heart sing. All I could see were monotonous grids, characterless high-rises, typical shopping malls you can find anywhere in the world, and a bit of modern mosques.
道やハイウェイの幅が広いので運転は楽だが、アブダビのダウンタウンは気持ちが高まるような場所ではない。目に入るのは単調なグリッド状の街並み、個性のない高層建築、世界中のどんな街でも見かけるようなショッピングモール、そして新しめのモスクが少々。
