Q&A FOR THE FUTURE: WEBSITE

Our latest Google Japan work for the election of the House of Representatives which will be held next month. Using Japanese version of Google Moderator, we created an online platform called "Q&A for the Future", where users can submit questions they want to ask expected candidates. There, users can also vote for questions they want to support and top 5 questions will be chosen at the end. The candidates will be encouraged to answer to these 5 questions on video and upload it on YouTube. This is the idea to make Japanese politics more personal and relevant. It already collected almost 3,000 questions in 4 days. We wish this challenge of Google could be a catalyst to build a new relationship between Japanese citizens and politics in this country.

来月に迫った衆院選に向けた、僕たちの一番新しいGoogle Japanの仕事。Googleモデレーターの日本語版を使った「未来のためのQ&A」というオンラインプラットフォーム。ユーザーは自分が立候補予定者にきいてみたい質問を投稿。さらにユーザーみんなで自分が支持したい質問に投票して、最終的に５つの質問を選び出す。立候補予定者はその５つの質問への回答のビデオをYouTubeに載せることができる、という仕組み。日本の政治をもっとパーソナルで自分と関わりのあるものにしようとするアイディア。開始4日ですでに3,000近い質問が集まっている。Googleのこの試みが、日本の市民と政治との間に新しい関係を生み出していけますように。
