When Don Muang was Bangkok's main international airport, I usually got a room at Amari Airport Hotel for a shower and some rest during a long layover. And now at Suvarnabhumi, I can do the same at this Novotel. Today, I have 10 hours in Bangkok. So I checked in, signed the condolence book at the hotel lobby for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand who passed away last year, then took a train downtown. The hotel is just a quick shuttle ride away from the terminal and located within walking distance of the Airport Rail Link station, so quite convenient. And the room was a bit too big for day-use.
