Together with Matsuzaki-san, President of Herman Miller Japan who has been supporting Ishinomaki Laboratory since its foundation, I delivered a lecture entitled "Ishinomaki City, Japan: A Case Study of Community Revitalization in the Post-Industrial Era" at University of Michigan Center for Japanese Studies . In this lecture, which was a part of CJS Noon Lecture series, we introduced some innovative activities born in post-tsunami Ishinomaki City and how they are bringing new possibilities and dynamism to the declining local communities.
