Checked into a room on the top floor overlooking a garden that is said to have more than 800-year history since the Heian period. Ducks and ornamental carps are living in the pond and even herons visit here. When I opened the window of my room for fresh air, I could hear the awards ceremony of the sports festival taking place at a neighboring school. I love Kyoto.
平安時代に作られ、800年以上の歴史があると言われている庭を見下ろす最上階の部屋にチェックイン。池には鴨と錦鯉が住んでいて、鷺もやってくる。空気を入れ替えようと部屋の窓を開けたら、隣の学校で運動会をやっているらしく、表彰式のアナウンスと拍手が聞こえてきた。京都はいい。
