INTO ASHIO VALLEY: ASHIO RAIL STATION

The red brick storage on a platform was built for hazardous materials in the year when WWI (not WWII) started. The train yard with multiple tracks is a reminiscence of the freight operations for the copper mine and smelter. This is an active rail station for the passenger service of Watarase Keikoku Railway and the last stop before the terminal Mato.
