El Poblado area is Medellín's uptown with a completely different character from the one of El Centro. In the heart of the area, I had a pleasant lunch at the terrace of Hotel Dann Carlton (not a Ritz-Carlton)—another 5-star near the Marriott I'm staying at.

In the evening, I strolled around the restaurant rows on the hillside of El Poblado to look for a place to have dinner. The streets are vibrant, fun, and energetic, with a lot of dining options. And most importantly, it feels safe. I found Medellín nightlife is something between South Beach and Bangkok.
