TRAIN-ING IN HOKURIKU: HOKURIKU RAILROAD ISHIKAWA LINE

Following the ex-Keio 3000 series, today I take the ex-Tokyo 7000 series, which is older than I, on the Ishikawa Line of Hokuriki Railroad. The train departs from a small single-track terminal in a residential area of Kanazawa and travels to Tsurugi—a gateway to the Mount Haku area. I saw the ex-Tokyo Metro 03 series EMU originally built for Hibiya Line at Uchinada Station of Asanogawa Line, and this 7000 series was running on Hibiya Line as well for the through-run service from Tokyu Toyoko Line. So for me, who used to take Hibiya Line from Ebisu to attend the high school and university on Toyoko Line, this is a reunion after almost 30 years.
